Valentine's Day Dessert For Him - CREME BRULEE

This is Creme Brulee, a dessert from France.
It is a yummy yet easy to prepare dessert.



Ingredients


makes 4 servings


6 egg yolks (room temperature)
100g sugar
7g vanilla extract
500g whipping cream
60g sugar (for caramelizing the top)



Steps
  1. Preheat oven 150C.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar and vanilla together until thick and creamy.
  3. Pour the cream into saucepan and heat until slight boil at the edge and remove from heat.
  4. Pour the cream a little at a time into the egg yolk mixture and keep stirring well.
  5. After the cream and egg yolk mixture well combine, pour it evenly into ramekins.
  6. Arrange ramekins on a oven tray and pour hot water on the tray.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Remove ramekins from hot water and let it cool down at room temperature.
  9. Once it is cool down, put in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serve, spread some sugar on top of ramekin and use torch to melt the sugar in order to create a crispy crust.
  11. Let it set for 5 minutes before serve.
