Valentine's Day Dessert For Him - CREME BRULEE

This is Creme Brulee, a dessert from France.
It is a yummy yet easy to prepare dessert.



Ingredients


makes 4 servings


6 egg yolks (room temperature)
100g sugar
7g vanilla extract
500g whipping cream
60g sugar (for caramelizing the top)



Steps
  1. Preheat oven 150C.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar and vanilla together until thick and creamy.
  3. Pour the cream into saucepan and heat until slight boil at the edge and remove from heat.
  4. Pour the cream a little at a time into the egg yolk mixture and keep stirring well.
  5. After the cream and egg yolk mixture well combine, pour it evenly into ramekins.
  6. Arrange ramekins on a oven tray and pour hot water on the tray.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Remove ramekins from hot water and let it cool down at room temperature.
  9. Once it is cool down, put in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serve, spread some sugar on top of ramekin and use torch to melt the sugar in order to create a crispy crust.
  11. Let it set for 5 minutes before serve.

爱情对话(一)

两个人在车上聊起了身边朋友感情不如意的事,我就有感而发:


我:其实一段感情里最棒的事是,你永远觉得对方是最好的!所以我常常觉得你是最好的……(笑着,转过头看着他)

他:哇!你这么说让我很有压力耶!那我要常常保持最佳状态,不能让你失望咯。(紧握我的手,故作很紧张的样子)

我:对呀!如果你让我失望就直接倒扣一百分!(偷瞄了他一眼)

他:那我对你也是有所期望的哦!

我:那当然!所以在我们对别人有期望之前,一定要自我检讨,自己有没有做好本分。

他:对呀,不能一味等别人付出,自己什么都不做。

我: 那你对我有什么期望?(用一双充满期待的眼神看着他)

他:嗯……(一副很神气的样子,斜眼瞄了我一下)我的期望就是……要你开开心心过每一天。(再一次紧握我的手,放在他胸前,笑了)

我:(心里超甜丝丝的)哈哈……我很开心呀!因为有你,你常常让我很开心地笑!(深情地看着他)

Recipe of Peanut Butter Biscuit

For beginner who just started to bake...no worry! This is the recipe you should refer to and it taste really really really delicious, especially for peanut butter lover ^^

fresh from the oven!
Ingredients :
  • 100g chocolate peanut butter (I used lady's choice)
  • 55g peanut oil/ corn oil
  • 45g icing sugar (sifted)
  • 200g cake flour (sifted)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
Steps :

  1. Mix chocolate peanut butter and oil together manually, no electric mixer needed.
  2. Add in icing sugar slowly ( separate into 2 portions) and mix well.
  3. Add in cake flour, baking powder and salt slowly (separate into 3 portions) and mix well.
  4. Dough is well form, roll it into square shape then put in fridge for at least 1 hour.
  5. After 1 hour take out from fridge and cut into small cube size.
  6. Put into oven bake at 160 degrees C for 35 minutes.
Simple and delicious Peanut Butter Biscuit.

Recipe of KFC- Korean Fried Chicken ^^

Seem difficult and so many ingredients to prepare, so many steps to follow, but I am so glad that I have successful on my first try ^^

This is my end product! macam yes and after  tried is REALLY YES!
Ingredients:

  1. Chicken wing - 7 pieces and cut into 2, total 14 pieces
  2. 1/2 cup milk
  3. 1 teaspoon salt (can adjust according to your preferable taste)
  4. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  5. 1 teaspoon minces ginger
  6. Potato starch
Sauce:

  1. 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  2. 3 tablespoon mirin
  3. 2 tablespoon apple cider
  4. 1 tablespoon Korean red chili paste (Gochujang)
  5. 3 tablespoon honey
  6. 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  7. 2 tablespoon brown sugar (adjust according to your preferable taste)
  8. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  9. 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  10. Pinch pepper
Korean red chili paste from supermarket, RM 17.90.

Steps:

  1. Marinate chicken wings with ingredients no.2 -5. Set aside for 10 mins.
  2. Coated chicken wings with potato starch (make sure is well coated).
  3. Deep fried chicken wings for the first time for about 12 mins. Drain on kitchen towel for about 2 mins before go for second fried. Once you see all the chicken wings turn golden brown, you may drain on kitchen towel. (The reason we fried it twice is because the texture will be juicy inside and crispy outside.)
  4. Prepare the sauce by mix all ingredients together and cook to boil.
  5. Off the heat of sauce then pour all the chicken wings in and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Enjoy your chicken wings while it hot!
